![]() You also have stasis, which you can use to freeze faster enemies, making them ripe for the kill, or use it during a certain stage where it will assist you in fighting a boss. ![]() ![]() These are not the only tools at your disposal, you’ll also have Kinesis which allows you to pull items such as ammunition, barrels, and upgrades, plus you can use Kinesis to force items back at enemies such as fuel barrels to take out multiple monsters in one shot. Each weapon has a more powerful alt firing mode by twisting the Wii-mote sideways. You start the game with a rivet gun, that can do some decent damage, but it’s slow, however you’ll pick up other weapons along the way that can do a much better job such as a Plasma Cutter (my personal fav), Psec pistol, Arc Welder, Torch, Force gun and other weapons. The game is played on rails as you follow along with the different characters of the game, enjoying a cinematic experience along with stopping to take down monsters or zombified humans. This marker not only caused the monsters to appear, but also causes people to lose their mind. In Extraction you play as multiple characters from the Aegis Colony VII, who fight there way off the planet due a nasty uprising of monsters called Necromorphs, which started showing up after a “Marker” was unearthed during an excavation. ![]() Extraction takes place at the same time as the events in the film “Dead Space Downfall” and before the events of the main game “Dead Space”. ![]() I had the chance to get a taste of Extraction a couple of months ago at EA’s holiday showcase, so it was great to be able to get the full gaming experience on this Wii exclusive. Over the weekend I had the chance to play the latest M-Rated Wii game, Dead Space Extraction, which is the prequel to the hit game “Dead Space” and let me just say, this was one of the finest movies I’ve ever played. ![]()
